Card and Tags

Hello and good afternoon dear friends! ^__^

I'm Halak and today I have a card with a couple of tags to share, using some fantastic products from the prior releases of Peek-a-boo Designs (PABD)!

Let's start with the card.

Usually we use ribbon at the top / bottom of the card but in this layout I thought of using it in the central portion of my card.

I've used the Leafy Delight stencil along with tiny pieces of die-cuts from the Dual Leaf cutting die. (That die really compliments the stencil design beautifully, what say?)

Finished it off with the gorgeous (and one of my favorites) Word Die - Dream and a couple of rhinestones.

Tip : When you are using a ribbon in the center, you can either embellish towards the edges of the card like I have done or leave the sides completely blank. Either way, it will look good!

Here's my second project :

In this project, I've used the Chrysanthemum stamp with circles from the Scalloped Circle cutting die to create circular tags.

Watercolored the blooms and colored the backgrounds using distress inks.
Stenciled a little onto the background using the same distress inks with the Leafy Delight stencil and added some flat white sequins.

Here's the list of PABD products used in today's projects :

Hope you liked the projects! I'd love to know what you think.

Thank you so much for stopping by! *Hugs*

Stencil Frenzy !!

Hi every one !!
This month we released an small array of stencils which is a great add to our line !!

Our Dts have taken the opportunity to make a stencil intensive project !!

Here are the projects that they made !!

Halak beautifully   used all three stencils from the collection and made this gorgeous project !! She used them to ink up her project and can you see the crispness the inking has with sharp edged !! This stencil is fantastic for ink blending !!

Our DT Piyanki Biswas made these ultra elegant gift tags. She had firstly distressed the background and used a darker colour of the same to stencil. These matching set of tags are so pretty and quick to make !!

This uber mixed media project with this grundge tiles cum wall background is so pretty .. The textures created using tbe tecture paste is to die for .. The use of flowers and sentiment enhance the background !!

Wooow .. Bubbles looks so fantastic !! The dept of the tecture paste can be easily seen in this project !! Which enhances the entire project three folds !!

The last mixed media project for the post has some really pretty textures with loads of spraying and texture paste !! The backgrounds stand out so nicely !!

Supplies used :

Hope you enjoyed our take by the DTs .. Hoping to see some awesome work by our  fellow crafters using Peek-a-boo Designs stencils ..

Background Stamps + Tutorial

Hello and good morning! ^__^

I'm Halak and today I'll be taking you through a tutorial for projects using one of my favorite background stamps by Peek-a-boo Designs, the Quilted Love.

This stamp is not only great for Valentine's Day projects and love themed ones but also makes a great background for casual and fun projects.

So, let's get to the steps for this card!

The first thing I did was take purple cardstock and stamp Quilted Love with white pigment ink, randomly.

After this, I took the same stamp and on white cardstock, using distress inks, stamped repeatedly. (I went kinda crazy here, was having fun mixing the colors!) :D

So this is what it looked like. Pretty cool huh? I definitely will be doing more of these colorful backgrounds in the future!

Then, I took the pretty Chrysanthemum, colored it up and adhered to my colorful background.

You can see that big bloom (this was before I coated some of the petals in fine glitter) in the above picture where I was also trying to figure out the layout et al.

After this, I added a die-cut and some washi tape bits for that extra pop of color. Boom. Done!

I also made another project, check it out :

Super simple and great for those who do not like coloring, the background is made of pink and blue distress ink smooshed onto paper with the help of acetate.

Here's a photograph :

It is the first layer, but I kept building on color as I wanted a darker background.

Once it dried, I stamped Quilted Love in versafine, trimmed it and matted it against white cardstock. This is what it looked like before matting :

After that, stamped a couple of blooms from Lotus Delight on white cardstock, fussy-cut them and adhered to project.

Stamped sentiment, added sequins and some colorful washi tape. You can also add glitter to the flowers to jazz them up a bit!

That's about it folks! Hope you liked  the projects and they inspired you to create something new!

Have a lovely day! *Hugs*

As you know about our current Challenge  # 2 - Anything Goes, where you can make anything you like, but it's gotta have a stamp and any 3 out of the following 4 colors : Saffron, White, Green and Blue. (Think patriotic this month :) )

Here is the beautiful Inspiration pic -

We do have a few additional rules so don't forget to check those out - Here.

I made two cards based on the challenge theme and to hopefully inspire all you lovely folks to participate and win some cool stamps!!!

So here is my First Card -

For This card i Picked almost all the colors with little variation in shades from our tri-color mood-board !!
Firstly i created my base but adhering white & Navy blue strips in horizontal fashion...then added a silver strip vertically for more interest .

I used  Lotus Delight Stamp Set this project !! Stamped & heat embossed the lotus in silver EP on water color paper & then Colored it with Nirmal Watercolors .Added some silver thread and green sequins for some texture !! Sentiment is again from the same set  Lotus Delight  which is heat embossed in white !! And yay ..its done !! i totally loved the output and beautiful water-colored lotus.

Check this closer look -

Now to the Second Card -

For this card I Used gorgeous CHRYSANTHEMUM stamp for Flower & Quilted Love For Back ground from Peek-a-Boo Designs !!
Back ground is heat embossed in White EP & then distressed with Tumbled Glass DI.
Stamped the flower on white CS & Colored it using Watercolor Pencils..the center is covered with glossy accents & a pinch of glitter!!
Before adding fuzzy cut flower to the base i splatter the base with some green & golden watercolor for more interest & also added a golden scalloped strip & sequins for final touch !!
Sentiment is from You and Me Stamp from Peek-a-Boo Design !!

Closer look of the flower -

All Together -
