The Little Sparrow cards

Hello lovely crafters!

I am Vinita Jain from New Creations! And very excited and thrilled to be here on Peek-a-boo Designs as their Guest Designer for showcasing my first ever designed stamp set "The Little Sparrow" and "Beaded Stencils." And both of them are turned out so perfect, Vidushi, made my dream true! And I don't even know how to express, how happy this wonderful opportunity has made me! When I received my own designed stamp set, I just jumped up with joy like a kid!

So here I am representing two of my cards in my fave color blue with my designed stamp and stencil!

Card 1

  • I went with Sketch Challenge#10
  • Stamped the image and little birdie in Pumice stone DI on Bielo white CS. Colored them with Zig Clean Color Brushes using water and for showing more depth, I used my watercolor pencils for shading. Fussy cut them.
  • By masking technique, I again stamped the flower part only, colored them. Fussy cut it and don't forget to color the edges too.
  •  I embossed my flowers using the embossing tool and pad, added few pollens inside and adhered them on the main flower image, Look at the depth and dimension on 3 D flowers, I totally love the amazing results! Die cut a white CS using Dual Stitched rounded Rectangle. Created a grassland at the bottom by drawing some grasses and bushes, watercolored them.
  • For my card base, I extended the Stitched Rectangle die and embossed the stitches using my Big shot on black colored CS.
  • Die cut a stitched scallop border out of a blue glitter sheet and created some holes using die for more textures and adhered it on my blue panel. Now adhered my top panel on it and created the whole scene.
  • Die cut a Fishtail banner out of vellum sheet using my Dual Stiched rectangle die:), for V shape I used one of a corner of the die and created holes again using die. Stamped the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it.
Embellished with few sequins and added some Glossy accents on flower and water droplets too.   And I created the matching inside too, look at the view:

Card 2

  • Die cut a textured watercolor CS and  created a window using Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangle.
  • Die cut a fancy lattice out of an adhesive white felt sheet, applied glitter dust on it and burnished it with my finger.
  • Using Beaded stencil applied the texture embossing paste on it and watercolored it using acrylic paints and added some splatters too.
  •  I stamped my Little Sparrow image  in blue sketch DI. I colored the whole image with my white Gel pen for textures and then watercolored it with some DI and left the sparrow as it is. Fussy cut it.
  • Die cut the Inspire word 4 times, heat embossed it and applied glossy accents for more depth and shine.
  • Before adhering the fancy lattice panel, I die cut one more panel for inside and adhered it between both of the panels to create a window. Now adhered the sparrow image using pop dots.
  • I cut a turquoise blue CS and adhered my back panel on it with a peek of the strip at the top.

For inside, I watercolored the panel using DI and added a stem of Bluebell flowers with a cute little birdie.  Stamped the cute sentiment in dual DI with a frame too.

Guest Designer - Zalak Mandal

Hello Crafters,

I am one of your crafty fellow Zalak A Mandal, I blog at handmadecardsbyzalak.wordpress.com. When Vidushi Saraf shoot me an email about guest designing, without a second thought I immediately replied her and I am really happy to guest designing here at Peek-a-Boo designs. I would like to thank Vidushi Saraf and the current design team memebers to give me this opportunity.

I also want to thank to all DT memebers for inspiration and great projects. And Hope to see new creations from new DT memebers.

So now lets head over to my projects I created using my Guest Designing Kit. It was really surprised moment when I received this stamp and Stencil.

Wow...... I really love this stamps and Stencil, don't you? Let me tell you this stamp and Stencil are made in India. So crispy and detail images, can absorb ink very smoothly. And clears all your ink from stamps using baby wipes.

So I have made 4 CAS cards and 1 layout (my first try). Here is what I made using this.

This is my first card using Back to School stamp set. I did smooshing technique here, using Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry and Craved Pumpkin distrees ink. I colored winner cup with zig brush marker. To finish my card I embellish with sequin and twine.

This is my second card using same stamp set. I blend peacock feathers,  salty ocean, dusty concord and seedless preserve. Then I stamp owl, books and rule on watercolor paper and then colored it with zig brush marker. For stars I stamed with versamark ink and heat Embossed with white embossing powder. Last for sun I blend mustered seeds and Craved Pumpkin then applied glossy accents and sprinkled some diamond dust. ( I hope you can see effect in pictures)

This is my third CAS card using Splitter Spatter stamp. I stamped umbrella which has heart images using picked raspberry then from that stamp only there is cute little hearts so I stamped them randomly using spun sugar and picked raspberry. I also stamped sentiment inside card and heat Embossed with gold embossing powder.

This is my last, 4th card using same stamp set. I again stamp umbrella and colored it with zig brush marker and applied Glossy Accents over it and sprinkle diamond dust and randomly arrange it and embellish it with sequins.

This is my first Layout that I made using two stamp and Stencil. And tried to give Back to School theme. Used distress ink, heat Emboss, fuzzy cut stamped images, some of sentiment from my recollections papers(which is already heat emboss, you just need to color).

I hope you all like my projects. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting
