Crafting inspirations with Vinita

Hello, Peek-a-boo Designs fans!
Vinita here!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

I wanna love this month amazing release with so many versatile themes included my designed stamp once again, Happy me, Pawsome:)
From critters to hearts, florals to succulents, new dies and geometrical shaped stencils, whats not! So hurry up and grab yours before they went out of stock!!! You can check the new release here.

So today, this is my inspirational post!

Card 1

That Heart Flutter stamp set is so pretty and perfect for Valentines and can be used with spring and summer theme too with such cute sentiments!

  • I simply started with Heart flutter image and stamped on a watercolor white sheet in black archival ink. Using Zig Clean color real brush markers, I watercolored the image with wet technique and after drying properly fussy cut it!

  • On a stitched rounded rectangle white panel I stamped the sentiment from the same set and added the image to the top centre.
  • Now tied it with a very thin pink ribbon with a black one too. Added this focal panel to my pink card base with another layer of a black border.
  • Finished it off with a cute wooden heart! The image and sentiment say it all!

Card 2

This is always difficult for me to create any creation with a Masculine theme but glad,  I came up with such an elegant card using Falling Triangles stencil!!
You always worked with falling hearts and I bet you will love to work with Falling Triangles now, so versatile!!

  • I started by placing my falling triangle stencil on a white CS. Applied black pigment ink as it takes time to dry off and added some clear gloss embossing powder for a gloss effect on these falling triangles, heat embossed them all. See a close pic:

  • To achieve the inky look on this Celebrate (yet to be released) text, I used two of shades from ZIG and passing through this die from my Bigshot. I didn't remove the text from the die as I placed some pop dots and then placed on the panel.
  • Added the sentiment with love from Pretty Roses stamp set in black archival and ended up with placing some black enamel triangles! Now adhered this panel with dimension foam on a card base!

Card 3

Birthday and celebrations cards are always in demand, so the next card is related to this theme only with shaker cuteness! And you know the Pawsome stamp set is designed by me:). The cat images are so cute even you can add them to your scrapbooking too.

  • I started with stamping two of the cat images from Pawsome stamp set on a textured watercolor paper in archival black. Colored the images using my Staedtler watercolor pencils. Fussy cut them.

  • Die cut polaroid frame 5 times to make my shaker one and one out of black foam. Added an acetate sheet. The sentiment is heat embossed in opaque bright white from the same set.
  • Die cut smile text 2 times. adhered them together and applied clear Versamark embossing ink. heat embossed it using clear gloss powder, love the thickness and shiny result I achieved!

  • On a textured white card base randomly stamped some birthday elements uncolored. In the centre, I placed my falling triangles stencil and applied wilted violet DI with a soft look. Now placed some different shaker elements and added one of the cute cat images inside and adhered that Polaroid frame. Placed the other cat image on the polaroid panel.

  • Now add one of the colored cupcake images with dimension with that cat. I applied glossy accent and before drying added white iridescent glitter to it. It is giving an impression as the cat holding this shiny cupcake!

  •
  • In the end, I added one of the black rhinestones for letter i dot(smile).
Card 4

Another card using the same Pawsome stamp set with a two-tone Inscription technique. I am in love with this technique, enjoy the steps with me!

  • On my white color textured panel I masking some masking tape to create the stripes.

  •
  • Using wilted violet DI I gave a look of ombre stripes and try to keep the distance equal as in mine!
  • Now proceed for the two-tone Inscription technique. For this, you required bold and large sentiment as I chose for this card. The sentiment is from Pretty Roses stamp set. I used my Misti for this technique.

  • I started with black archival ink. I masked that stripe where I wanted to show the sentiment. Now first part is ready.
  • Now I masked those two stripes where I stamped the part of the text in black ink. On the same sentiment using clear embossing pad, I heat embossed the remaining sentiment in opaque bright white. Remember to clean the dust particles carefully before heat embossing if any.

  • I am so glad to see the result and if any broken line is there than carefully used my black liner to cover that part:)
  • Now time to stamp the image. For this card, I choose another cat image from Pawsome stamp set. I colored the image again using Staedtler watercolor pencils. Higlighted the gift box and a tail heart with glossy accent and sprinkle the glitter. Added glossy accents to cat eyes for dimension, fussy cut it.

  • Die cut one of the Stitched triangles out of a vellum sheet. Using Falling Triangles stencil, I heat embossed those tiny and cute triangles in silver. Placed my cat on it using pop dots and adhered it to my panel. On a piece of the black stripe, I added another sentiment, especially from the Pretty roses stamp set and placed it using pop dots.

So finally how do you like this technique, isn't it awesome!!!

Here are my cards with the newly launched Valentine's Collection. Since Valentine's is just around the corner, stamps related to valentine's were a must!

1.I started with  applying Gesso on the 8X6 canvas and stamping the background stamp.

2. Using 3 colours of distress paints I started playing with the colors on the Canvas

3. After drying the free flow colours on the canvas I started stamping the sentiments randomly in a L shape

4.Once I was happy with what I have created I stamped a sentiment on a black card stock piece and Heat embossed it

5. I framed the black board sentiment with resin embellishments frame

 6. Further I added flowers and a key to the project

I took up this project to use all my sentiment stamps and create magic with these this Valentines !

You all must have checked the January 2016 Release, if not, do hop over to the Peek-A-Boo Designs site and checkout the amazing launch!  This post is my inspiration from the Launch collection. I will be doing an inspiration for the challenge seperately!

Here are my cards with the newly launched Valentine's Collection. Since Valentine's is just around the corner, stamps related to valentine's were a must!

I loved the doodled heart shape in 'You and Me'  collection and making a card with this stamp was a must. The other stamp set I totally loved was the 'Valentine Love' and I loved making a scene with the same. And yes, this one had to be a shaker card!!!

I have a pictorial tutorial on how I made these cards, So you can sit back and enjoy the tutorial on how I made this shaker card

Take an A5 sheet of cardstock (I took a Fabriano, you can take any cardstock as long as it is sturdy). and I measured abuout .75 from each sides and then cutted the middle portion with a cutter.

Then take a A4 cardstock and convert it into an A5 card. Then happened the distress inks on the card. Do note that I have kept the panel on the card and used masking tape to ensure that it doesn't slips off (this step is really not very much needed, since anyhow the panel will overlap the base of the card.
Then I had stamped a few heart shaped stamp from the 'Valentine Love' stamp set multiple times. I also stamped the cute little cupid and coloured it using the Faber Castel color pencils.

And now comes the fun part, on how to make the shaker panel. take the panel and adhere a OHP sheet, the size of the shaker panel. Once done, adhere a double sided foam tape to add dimension. (I did this one the coloured portion of my panel ,so that the back side, which is white comes on the front.)

Now, once my sentiment is stamped, Add some sequins (or any small beads, just about anything as long as it's not quite big)

Now, take off the seal from the double sided tape and carefully add the panel on top of your card. Be sure to keep the card flat while doing so, so that the sequins doesn't falls off the card.
And TA-DA... your shaker card is ready!!!
Isn't it fun making one??? I totally loved this one, though I feel I could have added a little more of those distress ink colors in there!

Here are a few more shots of this lovely shaker card!

My second card was done by stamping the doodled heart from the 'YOU and ME' stamp set multiple time, I had just randomly stamped them and then coloured each heart with the Faber Castel watercolor pencils.

This took a good two hours but then the end result was fabulous!!

Once done, I mounted it on a A5 card base in black color and voila.. I had another vibrant card !

I hope you did like my creations and do take time out to gimme some reviews!!
I would love to hear what you have to say about these two pretties!!!
