TO FINALIZE SOMETHING SWEET

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here. I chose something sweet to finalize the year and said thank you for share with me.
I love techniques and embossing is one of my favorites. Today I created embossing with die cuts on my first card. Take a look at my card:

To create this card I used Whisper White card stock, the Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangle and the stamp sets Poppies Bunch and Friends Forever
  1. Stamp the Poppies Bunch using Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder.
  2. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Friends Forever.
  3. Apply Distress Ink over the stamped images using a bending tool. I used the Cracked Pistachio color.
  4. Take the small stitched rectangle and place over the card stock just like if you were to cut
  5. Replace the lower cutting plate in your big shot for a rubber mat. The correct sandwich will be: acrylic pad - rubber mat - card stock - die cut - acrylic pad.
  6. Pass your sandwich for the big shot
  7. Finalize your decoration adding some enamel dots or sequins.

For my next project I used an Embossing Folder to have a Dry Embossing and images from the stamp set Flower in a Jar

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and I made a Dry Embossing over a Very Vanilla card stock layer. Then using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped the tulip image over some of the frames of the background and colored the flowers with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, the Flower in a Jar

With a few elements you can create a great compositions and embossing technique always offered hundreds of possibilities that you can apply easily. I hope my projects inspired you and come back soon!

INKS, FEATHERS AND BUTTERFLIES

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a fun selection of cards using different elements. Each of these card was created using different inks to create special effects. Let me show the first.

To create this card I used the Feather stamp set and the embossing technique. First I used the dry embossing over the second layer and I stamped the sentiment with heat embossing technique using Verdigris Embossing Powder. To complement the design I stamped two small feathers included on the same stamp set with the same embossing powder, fussy cut them with scissors, decorated them with gold metallic thread and paste over the dry embossing with dimensionals. Finally I pasted the decorated layer over the card base.

My second card was made using the stamp set Indian Motif, one of my favorites. I stamped the main images with Kaleidacolor Ink to have the rainbow tones.

I used Bouquet Kaleidacolor Ink for both images. I jut turn the images to have different tones. For the numbers I used the Numbers Dies with dark brown metallic card stock. The base and second layer of this card are very vanilla card stock and the second layer was pasted with dimensionals to have more high on the project.

The third card is a butterfly card created with the fabulous stamp set Doodle Butterfly.

I stamped one of the butterflies included on the stamp set using Crumb Cake classic Ink, the same color of the second layer. Then in a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, I stamped the bold butterfly using VersaFine Satin Red and Clear Embossing Powder and fussy cut this image with scissors. I pasted the butterfly over the layer  using dimensionals and stamped the sentiment with VersaFine and clear embossing powder. I pasted the decorated layer over the Real Red card base and decorated with a few rhinestones.

CAS INSPIRATION WITH STENCILS AND BUTTERFLIES

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a selection of CAS cards that I made using stencils and butterflies. I love to combine die cuts and stamps in my cards, and Peek a Boo has all these elements in our store.

My first card is a Christmas card that I made using a masking technique with stencils.

I used the Grid Stencil and created three pines on it with masking tape. I inked it over the card stock using different colors of Classic Ink. I used Old Olive, Wild Wasabi and Garden Green.

To complement the decoration of the card I cut the Celebrate word on the same color of the card base, real red card stock  and tied two loops of natural Thick Twine with a red button on top. Then I pasted the decorated layer over the card base using dimensionals.

On  my second card I used the same stencil, the Grid with Gold Texture Paste.

The base of the card is Real Red and the decorated layer is Very Vanilla. I cut the Heart Butterfly in textured red card stock and paste over the gold grid. Then I stamped one of the sentiments included on the Doodle Buttefly stamp set using Versafine Onix.

The third card is using distress ink and Versafine ink with the stamp set Doodle Butterfly.

The base of this card is Melon Mambo and the stamped layer is Whisper White. I created an angle area to ink this with three different colors of distress ink and stamped partially the bold butterfly included on the stamp Doodle Butterfly.

The colors of distress ink that I used were Twisted Citron, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. The butterflies and sentiment were stamped with Versafine Onix and I just added a few details of Crystal Drops  in color Apple Green.

The size of all my cards is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2".

THREE OCCASION WITH PEEK A BOO STYLE

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you some cards for three different occasions. My first card is for Christmas! Take a look at my card:

I created this card using the Beaded Stencil with three different colors of green classic Ink applied with a brush. This technique offered me a soft texture on the paper and different intensities of the color. I cut this layer using the big Stitched Dual Rectangle Die Cut.

Do you recognize the word love?
It is part of the new Shaker Love Die Cut. I just used the negative part and cut the word to use it as sentiment. I cut it on red glimmer paper to have a great contrast with my background and coordinate it with the holly leaves that I made using Makin's Clay Push Molds. To finalize the decoration I added some red and green sequins and pasted the decorated layer in an angle over a real red card base. The size of my card is 4-1/4"x5-1/2" closed.

My second card is a friendship card that I made using the stamp set Feather and a masking technique.

On this card I used three different colors of classic ink, Daffodil Delight, Sahara Sand and Early Espresso. I pasted a post it tape across the Very Vanilla layer to create the masking area and then I stamped the three small feathers of the set using different colors of ink.  I removed the post it tape and stamped the sentiment on the central area.

I resized the layer and added a tiny early espresso border on the left side before pasting the stamped layer over a Hello Honey card base. As a final touch I added three sequins, one copper, one silver and one gold.

My last card is an inspirational card. I created this using the stamp set Magical Fairies combined with Delicata Metallic Ink and Embossing.

First, I created the background using the bold stripe line of the stamp set It's Plaid Time, stamped with Celestial Copper Delicata Ink. Then I stamped one of the Magical Fairies with VersaMark and covered it with Vintage Plum Embossing Powder and cut a Circle Scallop Stitched Frame using the small size of the Scalloped Circle Die Cuts and pasted it with dimensionals. Also I stamped the sentiment using the same ink and embossing powder.

As a final touch I added some copper sequins and pasted the decorated layer over the Rich Razzleberry card base. The size of my card is 4-1/4"x5-1/2" closed.

BUTTERFLIES, FEATHERS, DIE CUTS AND MORE

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you three cards crated with different products released this month on the Peek a boo Store that I loved. One of my favorite combinations is stamps and die cuts, but today I am very happy playing with stencils too! Oh My God, you need to visit the Peek a Boo store to get crazy like me! Take a look at my cards:

My first card is one of my favorites this month because I used watercolor paper and distress ink to create the background and, when I use these two products, the result is always different. I love the color combination on this.

Creating this was very simple:
  1. Cut the base using Very Vanilla card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2"
  2. Cut a second layer in watercolor paper. The size is 4-1/8"x5-3/8"
  3. Watercolor the right side using distress in four different colors. I used Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron and Blueprint Sketch.
  4. Cut two butterflies using the new Heart Butterfly die cut. Don't forget to recycle the hearts to use in other project!
  5. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Doodle Butterfly using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  6. Paste the butterflies using glue dots.
  7. Paste the decorated layer using a hard snail adhesive.

My second card is created with Very Vanilla card stock too.... it may be my favorite color for the season? Normally I use Whisper White...LOL! On this card I have my perfect combination: Die Cuts, stamps, stencils, techniques and a few embellishments.

Creating this was easy and simple too:
  1. Cut the base of the card using Very Vanilla card stock. The size is 4-1/2"x11".
  2. Cut a second layer using Very Vanilla card stock. The size is 4-1/4"5-1/2.
  3. Take the stencil Abstract Triangle Stencil and secure it over the second layer. Apply three different colors of ink over the open areas using a brush or sponge. I used a clarity brush and the colors of ink Soft Suede, Tangelo Twist and Bermuda Bay of Classic Ink. If you want you can play with the position of your stencil.
  4. Take one of the die cuts of the Dual Stitched Fishtail Banner Collection and cut it over the stenciled layer.
  5. Place the second layer temporarily over the card base and stamp the sentiment inside the die cut space. I used a message from the stamp set Happy Birthday to All with VersaFine and Clear Embossing Powder that I melted with the heat tool.
  6. Stamp the complimentary message over the second layer using the same ink and embossing.
  7. Paste the second permanently over the card base.
  8. Finalize the decoration by adding two tiny bows in natural twine.

For my last card I used a combination of card stock to break the tradition! I used Sahara Sand for the base and Whisper White for the second layer. I am definitely a fan of the neutral colors, don't you think?

Making this was a great time because I love this stamp set. It is called Feathers and, let me tell you that it is simply amazing and their messages are perfect!
  1. Cut the base using Sahara Sand card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2"
  2. Cut the second layer using Whisper White card stock. The size is 4"x5-1/4".
  3. Stamp the feathers in three different colors of ink. From the bottom to top I used Pool Party, Sahara Sand and Peach Parfait Classic Ink.
  4. Stamp the sentiment using Sahara Sand Classic Ink.
  5. Add some enamel dots from the Pastel Collection.
  6. Paste the decorated layer over the card base.

These are the products that I used to create these cards. You can find these on Peek a Boo store.

Hope you submitte your entry to our October challenge . If not, do it soon, there are only a few days left to win the Gift voucher.

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon with something special and new because, for me, new release is new inspiration!
