TO FINALIZE SOMETHING SWEET

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here. I chose something sweet to finalize the year and said thank you for share with me.
I love techniques and embossing is one of my favorites. Today I created embossing with die cuts on my first card. Take a look at my card:

To create this card I used Whisper White card stock, the Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangle and the stamp sets Poppies Bunch and Friends Forever
  1. Stamp the Poppies Bunch using Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder.
  2. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Friends Forever.
  3. Apply Distress Ink over the stamped images using a bending tool. I used the Cracked Pistachio color.
  4. Take the small stitched rectangle and place over the card stock just like if you were to cut
  5. Replace the lower cutting plate in your big shot for a rubber mat. The correct sandwich will be: acrylic pad - rubber mat - card stock - die cut - acrylic pad.
  6. Pass your sandwich for the big shot
  7. Finalize your decoration adding some enamel dots or sequins.

For my next project I used an Embossing Folder to have a Dry Embossing and images from the stamp set Flower in a Jar

The base of my card is Crumb Cake and I made a Dry Embossing over a Very Vanilla card stock layer. Then using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped the tulip image over some of the frames of the background and colored the flowers with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the same stamp set, the Flower in a Jar

With a few elements you can create a great compositions and embossing technique always offered hundreds of possibilities that you can apply easily. I hope my projects inspired you and come back soon!

A FLOWER SELECTION OF CARDS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a complete selection of cards created with flowers. All of these are flowers from our stamp sets and you can combine, cut and edit these to create your own designs. Let me show you my first card:

For this card I used the stamp set Humming Blossom and a watercolor technique. Creating this was very easy:
1. Cut a layer of watercolor paper.
2. Ink an acrylic blog with four different colors of classic Ink. I used Wild Wasabi and Pear Pizzaz for the upper part and Blue Sky and Pool Party for the lower part.
3. Spray the block with water and put the watercolor paper over the acrylic block.
4. Remove the paper and let it dry. If you want to speed up the process, you can use the heat tool.
5. Take the branch flower image from the stamp set Humming Blossom and ink it with markers. I used the colors Crushed Curry, Garden Green and Rose Red.
6. Spray the stamp with water and stamp over the watercolor background. Let it dry.
7. Stamp your sentiment with Paris Dusk Memento Tuxedo Ink.
8. Decorate with a die cut from the Funky Shapes Die Set. I used gold glimmer paper for this purpose.
9. Cut the base of your card and assemble it.

My second card is a Clean and Simple model that I made using the Dahlias Layered stamps and coordinating die cuts. These flowers are totally gorgeous and this is definitely one of my favorites sets.

Creating this card was very easy. This is a one layer card created in Whisper White card stock.

1. Stamp the solid images of dahlias, large and small, using Sky Blue and Bermuda Bay Classic Ink.
2. Use Stamp-a-magic to stamp over some dahlias from the previous step to make some corresponding flower with lines using Night of Navy Classic Ink.
3. In another piece of card stock, stamp the solid image of the dahlias using Pool Party Classic Ink, and the detailed images with Night of Navy and Island Indigo Classic Ink.
4. Cut the flowers stamped in the previous step using the corresponding die cut and paste over the stamped background using dimensionals or zapdots.
5. Stamp the sentiment from the stamp set Fiends Forever using Night of Navy Classic Ink.
6. Finalize the decoration by adding some silver sequins.

My last card is a combination of elements: decorated paper, word die cut and a little flower. This flower is from the stamp set Flower in a Jar. Take a look at my card:

The base of this card is Rose Red and the second layer is Whisper White. Creating this was very fun:
1. Cut the second layer using whisper white card stock and stamp the rose from the stamp set Flower in a Jar several times in diagonal lines using three different colors of Memento Ink. I used Grape Jelly, Lilac Posies and Lulu Lavender.
2. Cut the third layer using decorated paper and create a diagonal angle.
3. Match the border and cover it with a tiny piece of rose red card stock.
4. Tie several loops of natural twine and create a bow.
5. Cut the Love die word in a coordinating color and paste over the tiny border.

These are the products that I used in today's creations:

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a few card inspirations in different styles using different techniques and elements. The first card that I want to show you uses our Challenge theme. If you don't remember what it is, you can refresh your memory HERE. Take a look at my card:

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

Creating this was very easy and quick:
1. Cut the card base using Melon Mambo card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2". Round the corners with corner punch.
2. Using one of the Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangles, cut the second layer using a decorated or designer paper. Paste this layer directly over the card base.
3. Using the small oval from the Dual Stitched Oval Collection cut an oval using Very Vanilla card stock.
4. Stamp over the oval the sentiment included on the stamp set Humming Blossom using Versafine Onix.
5. Paste the oval over the decorated base using dimensionals or zapdots.
6. Sponge a separate piece of Very Vanilla card stock using three or four different colors of the distress ink. In my model I used three colors: Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Mermaid Lagoon.
7. Stamp the image of the big bird included on the stamp set Humming Blossom using Versafine Onix and then heat emboss it with clear embossing powder.
8. Fussy cut the bird image with scissors and paste partially over the oval and the decorated base.

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

My second card is very different from the first. In this second model I used three different stamp sets. Take a look at my card:

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

This was very easy to make too, and if you have any tool like a Misti or Stamping Press, the process will be quick.
1. Cut the base of the card using Whisper White card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2".
2. Using one of the images from the stamp set It's Plaid Time stamp two or three lines at the upper and lower part of the card base. You can use any color of ink. In my sample I used Basic Gray.
3. Rotate your card 90 degrees and use the same color of ink, stamp the same image across the whole surface keeping the same distance between the images.
4. Cut a layer of card stock of 4-1/4"x3-3/4" using a color of card stock that coordinates with  your design.
5. Cut a third layer of card stock whisper white of 4-1/4"x3-1/2" and stamp the dual flower image from the stamp set Flower in a Jar and the sentiment from the stamp set Friends Forever using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink over this piece.
6. Color the flowers using markers and paste the layers over the card base.
7. Finalize the decoration by tying a double loop of color trimming.

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

The third card is a Clean and Simple model. In this one, I used the stamp set Magical Fairies and the Dual Stitched Oval Dies. Take a look at my card:

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

The base of this card is Basic Black card stock and I combined it with Whisper White card stock and a piece of decorated paper.

1. Cut the base card. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2"
2. Cut the second layer out of decorated paper. The size is 4-1/8"x2-3/4" and paste it directly over the card base.
3. Cut a third layer in whisper white card stock. The size is 4-1/8"x5-3/8".
4. Put the white layer partially inside of the one of the Dual Stitched Oval Dies to create the lower border. Leave enough space to stamp your images and pass it through the big shot.
5. Stamp one of the fairies included on the stamp set Magical Fairies using Versamark and then heat emboss it with white embossing powder.
6. Sponge around the fairy using two different colors of ink. In my sample I used Brushing Bride and Pool Party.
7. Stamp one of the messages included on the same stamp set using Versafine Onix and then heat emboss it with clear embossing powder.
8. Finalize the decoration by adding some dots with Black Crystal Dots on the lower part.

CARD INSPIRATION IN DIFFERENT STYLES

I hope my projects inspired you. These are three different styles of cards using stamping techniques like emboss resist, double stamping and blending with distress ink. In addition, you can see how to use the die cuts in a normal way and alter the original designs. You only need to let your imagination fly and fall in love with your stamps to create what you love.

LOVE, INSPIRE AND CREATE!

Hello everyone! Martha Lucia here to share with you three fun card ideas that I made using our stamps and die cuts. Here is my first card:

To create this I used the watercolor faux technique. I inked an acrylic block with Pool Party classic ink and then I sprayed with water before placing the block over the whisper white layer of paper. When the paper was totally dry I pasted over it three Word Love in different colors and positions. I completed the message using parts of two images from the stamp set Friends Forever, stamped with Versafine Onix over the same color of the card base. As final touch I added a few rhinestones over the watercolor background.

For my second card I used the stamp set It's Plaid Time. I stamped each line alternating three different colors of ink and cross the lines on the center. Then I cut the center using the small oval from the Dual Stitched Oval Die Cut Set, to create the inlaid technique.

Also I cut the same oval in fun foam to get more dimension and I pasted the decorated oval over the foam. I pasted the decorated layer over the card base and pasted the oval exactly in the same place. To finalize the decoration I cut the Word Inspire in Pink Pirouette and Pool Party card stock to paste over the oval with a little movement.

For my third card I chose neutral colors and vellum card stock. The base is crumb cake and the second layer is early espresso. I stamped two flowers from the stamp set Peonies Love over vellum using VersaMark and White Embossing Powder. I melted the powder with the heat tool and colored the flowers on the back using pearlescent.

I cut the second layer of the card using early espresso card stock and one of the die cuts from the Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangle. I stamped a sentiment over this using VersaMark and White Embossing Powder. Then I pasted some loops of pink thread, the vellum flowers and some sequins. As final touch I colored the front of the flowers with Clear Wink of Stella.

HUMMING BLOSSOM AND MORE

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you some of my creations this week. I don't want to stop using the Peek-a-boo stamps, they are totally gorgeous and for today's post I chose three amazing sets.

This is my first card, on this I used one of the images included on the stamp set Humming Blossom. Take a look at my card:

I stamped the blossom image several times directly over the card base using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored partially each branch using color pencils and sansodor technique. I added some white points with a white gel pen on the center of the colored flowers to enhance the details of these.

For the sentiment I used the sentiment included on the stamp set stamped in a white circle and decorated with a black mat.

My second card is very different from the first. In this project I used as focal point the die cut Victorian Gate.

The base of the card is Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped on the upper part a sentiment form the stamp set Friends Forever using VersaFine Onix Ink and then I made over this a dry embossing using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. After this, I inked the base with three different colors of ink: Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi and Bashful Blue.

I cut the die Victorian Gate using metallic green card stock and paste it over the embossed card base using dimensionals or zapdots to give more hight.

As final touch I added some heart sequins in blue marine color to create a big contrast.

My third project is very special. I am designer for another company specialized in digital cutting files, they give me a file to create  my own Year Planner or Agenda and I decided to make my own version of this making this like my art journal. Well I made one of the pages of my planner with one of the stamp sets of Peek-a-boo and decorated it with other elements others for now, because I have 18 months to complete my journal. Take a look at my page:

In this page I used the stamp set Flower in a Jar stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with color pencils and stampin' pastels. Also, I used the Dual Stitched Rounded Rectangle die cuts to create the frame where I stamped one of the sentiments.

Here are other details that I used on my planner created with Peek-a-boo products until now.

The little arrows frame were cut using a layer created with Makin's Clay red and the die cut from the set Funky Shapes. The star frame was cut in gold metal sheet. And the Dream Word in Very Vanilla card stock.

My idea on the planner is have one word each month to keep in mind and for August my word is Dream.
