Peek-A-Tute Day : Desktop Quotation Display !!

Hello Crafty souls.. ..Its Vijaylaxmi here & today i am sharing a Tutorial on making a "Desktop Quotation Display"

Steps on How to make this -

  • Stamps i used here - (From Previous & Latest Releases)

  • Material Needed - Chipboard, Pattern Paper, Card Stock, Paper Cutter, Binder Rings, Glue, Embellishments to Decorate.
  • Cut A Window with the help of cutter on two chipboard pieces.

  • Like this. You can cut as per your size requirement.

  • So after cutting & punching ..the chipboard will be like the same as in below picture -

  • Now cover the Chipboard pieces with 12*12" Pattern Paper of your choice. I took a neutral colored background paper.

  • Cut a "X" slit in the window so that we can fold the paper backward & window can appear neatly. (See the above pic)
  • Now the whole stand will look like this.
  • As we already punched the Chipboard so now its easy to poke holes again after covering with Pattern paper.

  • I stamped the Gorgeous Nysaa on different pattern papers to form its beautiful dress & colored the upper body with water color pencils.
  • Put this pretty girl on side panel of this desktop stand with the help of 3D foam Tape. I just love the way she is blushing ;)
  • Then added a mdf fence.

  • Decorate it as per your choice ..i used Mulberry Flowers & handmade Flowers (RAK From Pooja ).
  • Also used Pie Lane butterflies & Some Sequins.
  • Then with the help of binder Rings i added my quotations .
  • All the quotations are from "Positive Vibes Stamp Set" ..Our latest Release & a Must have stamp set..:)

  • You can add as many quotations you want & can flip it on daily basis for your daily motivational dose :p

Yay..we are done !!

Have a great day !!

Nysaa : Revisited!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Another month gone by, wow, I just seems yesterday when the PABD release happened and with a brand new month, another release is soon gonna hit the markets!! Aren't you all excited for the new release? We definitely are, so mark your calender's for tomorrow and be on a lookout for this space!!!

Before that lets revisit Nysaa!! 'NYSAA' is my favorite one till date from PABD and really I, just cant stop looking at this lovely lady!! Before checking out my rendezvous with Nysaa, do not forget to enter into our March month challenge , which is all about making a set!!! Read all about it here!
Challenge #3

Here's what I made for the challenge. It was all about making a co-ordinating set!! So I made a lovely card and a tag!!!

I love the card and this came out pretty well!!! Those pink colors stand nice against the black background of the card!!!

Here's another look!!

I kept the tag simple to have more focus around the card, but standalone, the tags gets a lot of priority too!! I liked the way this one turned out to be!

another view of the set!

Here's a little how these were made!!!
Cardstock: Fabriano
Stamp: NYSAA and 'BEAUTIFUL'
Washi tape!

Stamped the nysaa onto a white fabriano with the versamark ink. Sprinkled Golden ranger embossing powder and heat set it. Worked with Faber castle color pencils to do the coloring around! Stuck the Washi tape on the card base and adhered the fuzzy cut Nysaa! Stamped the sentiment on the Vellum paper and heat set it!

The details of the tag are very simple and self explanatory!!

I hope you all liked my creations!! Do drop me some love and if there's any query, do get it out in the comments section and I will reply back asap!!

Happy Crafting!

Peek-a-tute with Nysaa!

Hello and good afternoon! ^__^
I'm Halak and today I'm going to be taking you through a tutorial for the card you see in the image above.
Before I begin, a reminder : Our current ongoing challenge is to have a colorful project in a set, that is two or more things in a project but it cannot be two cards.
This tutorial has been created keeping in mind the ongoing challenge guidelines.
This means, your entry to the challenge can be a card with a matching tag, a card and a matching envelope, an album and a tag... etc.
Two or more projects in a set which have to have 4 or more colors from a rainbow. There's still time to play along so I hope you participate! ^__^
Okay so now that the reminder is done with, let's get to the project!
I made this card with a matching envelope using the following stamp sets :
2.  Nysaa

Steps :
First, I stamped Nysaa onto white cardstock twice. Kept one image as-is and fussy cut the second image.
Then on the cardstock where I kept Nysaa as-is, I placed a sentiment from Stringy Text to position and stamp.
Note : I masked the lower portion below Nysaa's dress using a small piece of scrap paper. I was not actually bothered about the dress itself because I had decided early on that I would be paper piecing.
Once my sentiment was stamped, I took the fussy-cut Nysaa and masked the Nysaa on the cardstock with masking tape.
After I masked Nysaa, I took a stencil and stenciled pattern using Orange (Spiced Marmalade) and Yellow (Mustard Seed) distress inks.
Tip : When you stencil, exert the lightest pressure you can and then build up on color. Remember, transition from light to dark with building up on colors is easy, but a transition from dark to light is not possible in stenciling.
For the dress I stamped Nysaa partially onto pattern paper.
Note : A great way to add a personalized touch to pattern paper is to stencil a design on top of it like I did using distress inks.
It gives projects added dimension and depth.

Tip : It is also helpful if you know what color blends will give what results, example :
Pink + Yellow = Orange
Blue + Yellow = Green
Pink + Blue = Purple etc.
It is easily available online with a chart so when you have the time, do look it up, it will benefit you greatly because you will be able to achieve more from less.

Positioned the dress that I paper-pieced onto Nysaa and decided on the embellishments I was going to use.
Tip : If you are a lazy colorist like me (lol) or coloring is not your thing but you want a beautiful outcome while using a doll image, an option like Nysaa is great because once the dress is paper-pieced, there is very little coloring required!
Once the dress was adhered, I colored Nysaa using color pencils (Staedtler Luna, 48 color set).
Finally added some pearls + rhinestones, matted the white cardstock onto purple cardstock and added a tiny black felt flourish on the top left hand side.
So that's how I did it!
The matching envelope was super simple, just stenciled the same design that was on card background using yellow and orange distress inks, stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Stringy Text and added a couple of embellishments.
Hope you enjoyed the project and learnt something new!
Thank you for stopping by! *Hugs*

Be Good Creations

Hello Friends ,

Im Sharada Dilip here , with a new creation with our lovely stamps collection !

I have recycled crafts for the day
I have made desktop organizers using the cardboard packaging boxes and given them a makeover !

I have decoupaged the boxes with lovely pattern papers and added die cuts and stamped images !
These lovely sentiment stamps are the perfect choice for such famine creations and I couldn't resist but use them as highlights of the creation !

Currently I am using these as my stamp holders :)

Now the Reveal time

Journey from a Gillette Packaging box to a  famine creation

what say !!

I have one more creation to go with ,

I went ahead to make a tag along with Nysaa

I have created a Recycled CD tag by giving  layers with 3D decoupage technique , this is how it goes ....

1. Stamp Nysaa doll on your watercolour white cardstock and colour her with water colours

2. Stamp one more  Nysaa doll  image , this time on a pattern paper

Since I needed only the dress I stamped  and cut it out only what was required known  as paper piercing technique

3. I covered the CD with pattern papers at both ends

4. Adhered double sided foam tape and layered Nysaa dress over her watercoloured image
Nysaa gets the much needed attention !

To complete the tag I used " Be Good Mini Stamp Set " and stamped on a princess theme post it note and added it to the back of the Cd Tag

Finally added the flowers and  made a hole on the CD with a local eyelet punch to have a  ribbon to go with the theme !

The stamp sets used here

I totally enjoyed creating and hope to have inspired you all to create :)
get crafting and hope to see you soon with your awesome creations
