Layered card and Challenege inspiration by Shilpa

Hello Everyone,

PABD has versatile designs in stamp and dies...we can make so many designs with them.
I've created layered card with PABD's past month's releases.

inspiration for this card is our November challenge moodboard.

I've used colors from this moodboard on my card.

here is the procedure for making this card...
I stamped stars from PABD Solid shapes stamp and archival ink.
Next I cut out Fishtail banner from color embossed paper and layered them on the surface with 3D foam.
Fabric flowers are focal point.. adhered them on the top. I also added cute charms at the corners.
Below the flowers I adhered fern flourish diecuts.
and for finishing touch, I used PABD enamel dots.

that's it for today,
Don't forget to join our PABD challenge this month!!

Time to wish Happy Diwali

Hey all,

Ria on this side. This is the second post of this month and I am loving all the designs coming on to this blog! I started the month's post with traditional looking ethnic Cards, moved to Indian wedding cards and now diwali cards. I must admit all these styles I am trying for the very first time far from my CAS style. I hope you like these too :)

Coming to Diwali cards now. Diwali or Dipawali is the festival of lights, as maximum of us know, right? But to me it is the festival of bright colors (unlike Holi) as during this festival, people buy a lot of new clothes and wear those on the festive day.

Without wasting much time, lets move on to the projects...

PROJECT 1

I am in love with the Indian Motifs and I am sure this phase of the year is the best time to use this stamp set for all the festivals!
  • I stamped the design from the Indian Motifs with Gold on a red cardstock and cut it into this pattern excluding the central portion.
  • I used Solid Shapes (circle biggest) to make the semi circle with distress ink and the diamond shape from the same set with varied inks blended together.
  • I masked the area and blended some Lime kiss yellow ink
  • Finally the sentiment with gold embossing.
PROJECT 2

My second card is inspired by a Rangoli that people make on Diwali.
  • I took two shades of metallic paper.
  • I stamped the images from the Indian motif in two shades of gold

PROJECT 3

  • I blended some ink with the Grid Stencil and applied mist on it.
  • I stamped the design from the indian motif to create a 'diya'
  • For the flame, I layered three layers of glitter sheets.
  • A scallop cut to frame the diya and the sentiment with some enamel dots.

PROJECT 4

  • For this, I took different scraps of paper and stamped designs randomely with distress inks and sparkle embossing powder finished it.
  • I made the flames with the same technique as I applied in the previous project.
  • I arranged these scraps to make candles.
  • I drew some flourish with hand and embossed it with silver and the sentiment to finish it.

Its time for the Plaids!!!

Hey all,

Its Ria again! It has a long time I have crafted anything in particular. Missed me? I missed you people much :)

I have been in love with the Plaids stamp from the beginning and one day I got ample time to play with the designs and had made a lot of plaid designs in every possible color that I could think at that time!

So, why not play with the plaids today?

Without wasting much time, lets get started :)

Today I am bringing four very easy to do designs with plaids.

First Card

Apart from the Plaids stamp design I am focusing on the Solid shapes for this card.

First of all, stamp the hearts and the diamonds with your favourite colors, here I have used distress inks and highlighted them with felt pens.

Fussy cut them. Arrange them and stick them in a circular form to make flowers.
I have used a plaid made with black archival ink. I adhered the plaid design on a pale yellow cardstock and coupled it with some rhinestones and enamel dots.

Too much possibilities with these stamps!!! I bet you second me.

Second Card

For the second card I have used a combination of plaids and the Monstrous Stamp for a Birthday card.
This card is very simple to make. I had preserved a plaid design on Pink which I have used for this card. I stamped and colored some images from Monstrous stamp. I made this a Shaker Card. The sentiment is from Happy Birthday to You set.

Isn't it too cute!! ^_^

Third Card

The third is a super time saver! I have used a plaid design I had done with the distress inks and I love the look it has resulted into. Just the plaid with the skeleton leaves, Jute twine and the sentiment! And its done.

The sentiment is arranged from the Banner Alpha.

Fourth Project

The last card of the day from my side is a simple one arranged with a patterned paper, a hand lettered fussy cut sentiment and an arranged sentiment from Banner Alpha. AND Its done!

Aren't these too simple?

Card making tip: The card making becomes super easy and time saving if you have plaids earlier. I had made plaid designs earlier on different colors and these four cards took hardly an hour to complete.
So, whenever you are free, play with the plaids ^_^

Thanks for having patience with my long posts everytime :)
Waiting to see your designs with these wonderful plaids.

With much love

Peek-A-Tute Friday with Ria

Hello Everyone,

This is Ria again on this side with some projects on your favorite Friday! I hope you all are enjoying the July release and I am already seeing fabulous projects by everyone.

Are you taking part in this month's challenge Challenge 8 - Onlylayers

I am here today with three new projects going with the month's challenge theme. Let us move onto the projects:

FIRST PROJECT:

My first project is an altered glass bottle. I have made the project in four easy steps:

Step 1: Using your distress inks, stamp the butterflies from Bold butterflies of every size on a paper (I have used scrap paper and I never throw scraps and better use for these tiny stampings). I have also cut some tiny butterflies using a paper punch.

Step 2: Fussy cut the butterflies, blend the same ink on it by which it was stamped and I have used some bling with Wink of Stella.

Step 3: Cover the body of the bottle with acrylic colors with a sponge. Let it air dry for few minutes.
Step 4: Apply the texture paste on it through Leafy Delight Stencil. Let it dry. And then cover partially the same acrylic colors on it.

I have finished it by sticking the butterflies on it- on an ascending order. Placed all the three word diecuts from July release and some sequins.

SECOND PROJECT:

I have come to know about the transparent cards last month and wanted to try this asap. I have made the night scene with Festive berries, Blue Chase & Grape vine from artistry inks; with some mist and white acrylic.
Stamped the fairies, colored the wings, fussy cut them and adhered them to the margins. The sentiment is also from the same set. I have stamped the stars from the solid shapes set and embossed them with Enchanted Gold. Its done!

THIRD PROJECT:

My third project is a card this time. Made the background with the BOX-tacular stencil with some mist and pearl effect on it. Stamped and colored the flourish from the Humming blossom Set. Cut it into an oval shape, adhered on a black foam and then on the background, finished with some enamel dots and sequins!
