Challenge #12 Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's Juhi with some more inspiration for challenge #12 which is a color challenge.

Create a project with at least 2 colors from this image. Here's what I made
I used the gorgeous Mandala stamp set to create my watercolor cards. I first stamped the mandalas on watercolor paper and colored them in with Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Coloring them was like coloring adult coloring pages, I really enjoyed it!
Go here to enter the challenge, we would love to see what you create!

Celebrate Rakhi with Peek-A-Boo Designs

Hi all,

This time Ria on this side with a set of projects on Rakhi.

Rakshabandhan or simply Rakhi is a Hindu festival celebrated in many parts of India, which celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters. On Rakhi, sisters tie a rakhi or the sacred thread on her brother's wrist which symbolizes the love and prayer by a sister for her brother.

As the month of August hits, we can see many colorful rakhis being sold in the local markets.
Every year I make rakhis for my brothers; so, this time I thought to make a few with the PABD stamps.

Without wasting time, lets get started:
I will try to give detailed steps as much as possible.

Step 1: I took the Mandala stamp set and had drawn the outline of one of the layers on an OHP sheet.
Step 2: Then I took Happy Birthday to you stamp and stamped the 'BEST' from there on the OHP sheet and handwritten the word Brother, and embossed it white.

Step 3 : I made a shaker RAKHI by sticking it to another paper, a lil bigger on the edges, and some sequins inside it.
Step 4: I finished it with glitter on the edges and a ribbon I had in my stash.

I made another SHAKER rakhi on Blue and have used Banner Alpha for the Word 'BROTHER'.

Now to match it up with, I made a card followed by the simple steps:

Step 1: I have stamped the middle of the Golden Cardstock with Swirly Time and the outer section with Quilted Love by masking one another with two different shades of Gold embossing powders.
Step 2: I have made some handmade flowers (though this is my second try without any die cuts and accessories), placed those with some sequins.
Step 3: A hand written sentiment and some glitters on the edges.

Its done and I am happy to see how the two background stamps can be effectively used.

Lets have a final look on the set.

I hope you all have liked the shaker rakhis with a matching card. Wish you all a Happy Rakshabandhan :)

Next up is a set that I am super in love with which we're calling Mandala. This stamp set contains a series of Semi Mandalas which you could stamp twice and make them full ones.. Yep we did that intentionally so that you get more in less .. The biggest Mandala when complete will be almost 2.8" in diameter ..

When using this set and seeing what the Design Team does with them you will be amazed as to all the different pattern possibilities this set has! Loads of potential here!

And not to forget this set is designed by Purvi Gadewar ..

After that we have a set which all the crafters who have kids in school or send cards to their teachers as a note of thanks occasionally .This is a perfect Stamp set to create Teachers Day cards !!Or a Congratulations card for your children performing well in class .. the possibilities are endless..

This set is designed by Diljeet Kaur

The next stamp set is a seasonal stamp set .. With the onset of Rainy season in major parts of the country .. this was the right time to get this stamp out .. This is a stamp which can be used for the rainy season .. for making love cards and even encouragements/ support cards .. This is a beautiful set and im sure your would love it..

This set is one of those set which is would fit into number of projects from mixed media projects to motivational cards ..

This cute little stamp set is designed by Deepti Stephens,, It is a cute little mini stamp which has a bunny and a sentiment ..

This love in paris stamp set is an Exclusive membership stamp set .. and has the famous Eiffel tower and other elements to give it a vintage feel .. this stamp set again has endless possibilities .. make cards .. mixed media projects or  even use individual elements on  scrapbook pages ..

And now for the new product that we are adding to our kitty .. Yes many of you people out there guessed it right they are STENCILS .. and to start with we are launching three very basic stencils which are a must have for all the card makers , scrapbookers, mixed media artists..

These stencils have a large working area of 7.75" by 7.75" and is perfect for making those huge 5-7" cards even when you rotate the stencil a bit .. Even after this big size they wont make a big hole in your pocket .. they are just for Rs. 200 each ..
